Are you actually the right person in the right place?
The other day, I heard someone say: “The right person in the right place”… We are all familiar with this statement and we know what it means.
But still it made me think, because you can look at it from two sides:
– The right person;
– The right place;
In our Being on Mission programme about leadership we touch both sides and let you discover what this specifically means to you.
The right person
The ‘whole person’ model in Being on Mission has both personal and professional impact. And your personal development goes from the inside out. But how do you know if you have become the right person? The answer is quite simple: when you have become who you wanted to be! However, that sounds simpler than it is. In order to become who you want to be, you need to know what is REALLY important in your life and live according to it. That requires working actively to achieve your goal.
When I was a child myself, I had only one thing in mind, and that was becoming a policeman! I succeeded, but after more than 20 years I noticed that other things became important in my life and then I made other choices, a reassessment of goals. And that is fine, you know if you are happy!
The right place
How about you, did you become who you wanted to be? Are you the right person in the right place?
If you know what is REALLY important to you in your life and you know what goal you want to achieve, then you can start discovering what kind of environment is appropriate for you. And we mean this in the broad sense of the word: the people around you, the street where you live, the shop where you go shopping, the building where you work, the country where you live, etc.
If you want to live your life to the fullest, then of course both sides have to be right and in balance with each other.
What about you, have you become who you wanted to be? Are you the right person in the right place?
